Unsung Heros

About Us

The U.S. Army recognizes that education is an essential component and an important building block for the future of today’s youth. The Army works with educators to provide today’s students with the tools and resources they need to plan for a successful future. The common goal between the U.S. Army and educators is to motivate, educate, train and develop today's youth to be leaders, decision makers and citizen-contributors to achieve life-long success. Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are the foundation of most Army career opportunities, and directly contribute to our national security and prosperity. The Army is the most comprehensive learning lab for STEM and continues to make a global impact through STEM every day. The U.S. Army partners with educational organizations to help them promote excellence in the education of all students and demonstrate a commitment to equipping our Nation’s youth for future success by preparing them academically.

The U.S. Army offers more than 40 free educational programs to students, teachers and parents designed to enhance learning and foster education, including March2Success.com, a free online tool that prepares students for standardized tests and life after high school, and ArmyEdSpace.com, the Army’s online resource for educational information, providing students, parents, educators and Soldiers with access to a robust directory of programs, resources and education news. In addition, the Army’s Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) awarded thousands of scholarships in school year 2012-2013 and is available at more than 1,200 colleges and universities.
